Online submission 

Online paper submission for the MSS Annual Conference meeting is available on or about September 5. The deadline for submissions is early November. When the portal opens, you will be able to submit abstracts for individual presentations and closed/complete sessions. All members will be notified by email when the portal opens.

Planning to participate in the MSS Annual Meeting?

We welcome you to the MSS Annual Meeting! Whether this is your first meeting or your 85th, we’re glad to have you!

If you are not currently a member of MSS, but you plan to participate in the annual meeting – as a session organizer, panelist, paper presenter, round table or poster presenter – please join MSS before you submit your abstract or proposal for consideration. Membership is required for participation in the annual meeting. If you already submitted a paper, poster, etc., but are not yet a member – join MSS now.

Being a member of MSS ensures that you will receive vital information about the annual meeting during the months preceding the meeting. Nonmembers may be removed from the program if they don't purchase a membership prior to printing of the program book.

Code of Ethics of the Midwest Sociological Society

MSS members are reminded that sexual or racial harassment is unethical in any professional setting, and that the annual meeting of the Midwest Sociological Society constitutes such a professional setting. Instances of harassment should be reported as soon as possible to the Professional Issues and Standards Committee.
